Many people have the distinct privilege of owning a man cave. I’m one of those select few. I truly believe that my man cave has no equals. It is legendary, incredible, and a ton of fun. Need proof? Read on for a virtual tour of the one, the only Riker man cave.
Big Screen
One of the many purposes of the man cave is as a movie theater. The room is equipped with a DVD player and VCR player that can be hooked up to a TV that is built into the wall. The collection of titles includes over 20 DVDs and over 30 VCR tapes. Options include installments of the Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings series as well as other classics like Count of Monte Cristo, The Sandlot, and The Incredibles.
Gamer Paradise
Two consoles provide another dimension to the multi-media experience. The Windows XP desktop can run over 30 games and also works for movies. Battlefront, Madden, and Backyard Baseball are popular choices for PC gamers. For old-school gamers, there is an Atari controller with 10 built-in games that hooks up to a TV. The room has a Wi-Fi connection for laptops and mobile devices.
Competition Zone
The man cave wouldn’t be the man cave without its other games. A new foosball table and mini pool table are two of the best features of the man cave and a basketball hoop adds another more physical avenue for competition.
Workout Room
Speaking of physical features, the man cave is an optimal training location for the athlete. State of the art machines call the man cave their home. The newest addition, the treadmill, is already receiving a lot of use and across the room a stationary bike offers an alternative for bikers. The open space in the middle of the room can be used for stretching or core work.
Board Game Haven
For those who favor a more restful man cave experience, the collection of board games is bound to receive attention. The list includes Monopoly, Risk, Clue, Catan, Apples to Apples, and many more. Legos and drawing materials are two accessories for creative types.
Study Hall
Readers have the entire Harry Potter collection and other notable books at their fingertips. For those who need to work on homework, a desk is available and the room is so quiet that you can hear a pin drop.
Lounge/Bedroom
The man cave experience can last for more than just an hour or two. The queen sized bed allows for sleepovers in everybody’s favorite room. The papasan is the best seat in the house at any time.
Owning and maintaining a man cave can be a stressful and tiring job, but when that man cave is the Riker Man cave, that task is an enjoyable and rewarding one. The Riker Man cave is a once in a lifetime experience. I love that it is one I can do every day.
Hey John, really hi-tech man cave! However, I don’t think you could hear a pin drop on that carpet unless you have as great hearing power as you do running power. I love it and you! Lots of study time in the quiet. Love, Grandma Angie
